Seizure of Approximately 19 kg of Cannabis: An American and Her Local Contact Arrested

A drug operation conducted at the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026 led to the dismantling of an attempt to import cannabis involving an American national and a local contact. Nearly 19 kilograms of the drug were seized at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, prior to an investigation that resulted in an arrest in Pointe d’Esny following a controlled delivery.
