Family Reunion Mauritius 2025: Ghislain Hennequin Introduces His Relatives to His Grandmother's House in Rose-Hill

Some Mauritians leave without looking back. Others do, but still feel the need to reconnect with their roots, even years later. This is the case for Ghislain Hennequin, who emigrated to Australia with his family in 1969. During the last quarter of 2025, he brought four generations of the Hennequin family back to Mauritius, with the aim of gathering in front of the house at No. 13 Ambrose Street in Rose-Hill, where his grandmother Gisèle used to hold family reunions.
