Judiciary: Dismissed by the Local Government Service Commission: Supreme Court Confirms Termination of Contracts

On Friday, January 23, the Supreme Court rejected the judicial review application filed by 575 of the 1,463 workers dismissed by the Local Government Service Commission (LGSC), affirming the legality of the termination of their contracts.

These employees were hired under the previous chairmanship of the commission, under conditions now deemed illegal. According to the Court, the former chairman had authorized these appointments unilaterally, disregarding established procedures.
