ACCA: New Access Opportunities for School Certificate Holders

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is an internationally recognized qualification available in over 180 countries, offering a career in accounting and finance. Traditionally, direct access to the ACCA program required a qualification equivalent to the Higher School Certificate (HSC) with at least two main subjects.

However, ACCA has recently strengthened its access pathways for School Certificate (SC) holders, allowing them to begin their journey through the Foundations in Accountancy (FIA) program. This preparatory course provides a gradual introduction to the fundamentals of accounting and finance, serving as a pathway to the main ACCA qualification.

This initiative aims to make training more accessible to a broader audience, particularly to students who have not yet achieved the qualifications for direct entry. Once the FIA program is completed, candidates can advance to the ACCA exams and thus access a globally recognized professional career.

ACCA continues to adapt to offer flexible opportunities while maintaining its high international standards, catering to a diverse range of student profiles.
