Alex Honnold Climbs a 101-Story Skyscraper Without Safety Gear

American climber Alex Honnold has successfully scaled the Taipei 101 skyscraper in Taiwan without using ropes, harnesses, or any safety equipment. This building, named for its 101 stories, stands 508 meters tall and is constructed from steel, glass, and concrete, designed to resemble a bamboo stalk. Honnold is renowned for being the first person to climb El Capitan without ropes or safety gear, a 915-meter granite cliff located in California's Yosemite National Park. Originally scheduled for Saturday, the ascent was postponed due to adverse weather conditions. His climb was streamed live on Netflix, with a delay in the broadcast for emergencies.
