Accident: 23-Year-Old Student Dies, 18th Road Victim

The grim series of accidents continues on our roads. On Monday, January 26, during the early hours, a young student, Heertika Chattoo, aged 23, tragically lost her life. A resident of La Caverne in Vacoas, she lost control of her car on the M1 highway while heading towards Port-Louis. She was rushed to Dr. A. G. Jeetoo Hospital but unfortunately did not survive her injuries. Her father identified her body at the morgue. She is the 18th road victim since the beginning of the year.
