United Kingdom: Suella Braverman Leaves the Conservatives to Join Reform UK
She has become the latest prominent figure from the Conservative Party to jump ship and join Reform UK. Suella Braverman, a former Home Secretary with immigrant parents—her mother, Uma Mootien-Pillay, is of Mauritian descent—was introduced by Nigel Farage as a key recruit at an event marking the launch of Veterans for Reform.
She has served in government under Prime Ministers Theresa May and Boris Johnson.
