Weather: Showers Expected This Tuesday, January 27th Until Tomorrow Morning

A warm and humid air current is circulating in our region. This afternoon, the weather will be cloudy with scattered showers. These showers will be temporarily of moderate intensity, with risks of thunderstorms, according to a statement from the Vacoas meteorological station issued at 10 AM this Tuesday, January 27th.

Fog patches are also expected in the highlands.

The weather will remain cloudy tonight and tomorrow morning, with showers.

It is worth noting that a monsoon flow is gradually establishing itself in the Madagascar region, creating favorable conditions for the development of a monsoon depression, as indicated by the Vacoas meteorological station on Monday.

According to numerical weather prediction models, a monsoon depression is currently forming in the monsoon trough, northeast of Madagascar. It is highly likely that this system will evolve into a depression as it approaches Mauritius from the northwest, bringing humid and unstable atmospheric conditions starting Wednesday, January 28th.

Moderate to heavy showers, accompanied by thunderstorms, are expected across the entire island from Wednesday, January 28th. These rains could lead to water accumulation in flood-prone areas.
