Obituary: José Rose, a Little Closer to Jah

A militant. Then a fighter. "A rasta will never be a sheep," José Rose once said. He was a highly respected figure among the Rastafarian community and served as the spokesperson and president of the Rastafari Socio-Cultural Association (ASCR). José Rose passed away on his journey to Jah on Tuesday, January 27, while admitted to Jeetoo Hospital. His funeral will take place on Wednesday, January 28, at 3 PM at the Marie Madeleine Church in Pointe-aux-Sables.
