Arrest of Jean Lino Albert: The FCC Investigates a Bracelet Valued at Rs 807,000

A diamond-studded gold bracelet was found at the home of Jean Lino Albert in Baie-du-Tombeau during a search conducted by the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) on January 14. Investigators suspect that this jewelry, valued at Rs 807,000, is the result of criminal activities. An investigation has been launched to determine its origin.

During this operation, two vehicles, including a Ford, were also seized.

Jean Lino Albert is suspected of being involved in drug trafficking. He was arrested following the search and is now facing a provisional charge of money laundering.

This resident of Baie-du-Tombeau is also believed to be part of Wendip Appaya's network. Already known to investigators, he is under several other investigations by the FCC. The commission does not rule out the possibility of the use of front names in this case, while all of his assets will be scrutinized.

Moreover, investigators suspect that some of the suspect's construction companies may be shell companies used as mechanisms for money laundering. Jean Lino Albert will need to provide the FCC with detailed information about the daily activities of these businesses, their client lists, and the contracts obtained.
