Tourism: Revenue Surges by 10% in 2025

The country is establishing itself as one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in the world. According to the UN's Global Tourism Barometer published on January 20, Mauritian tourism revenue increased by 10% in 2025, significantly surpassing the global average of 4%.

Tourism Minister Richard Duval noted that 1.44 million visitors stayed in the country, which is nearly 4% more than in 2024, generating over Rs 100 billion in revenue.
