In China: Discovery of Around a Hundred Ancient and Unknown Animal Species
In China, researchers have made an "extraordinary" discovery, unearthing nearly a hundred ancient animal species that were previously unknown. These creatures, some covered in spines and others resembling jellyfish, are believed to have survived a mass extinction event that occurred approximately 500 million years ago. The fossils were excavated from a small quarry measuring about 12 meters high and 30 meters wide.
