Alleged Drug Trafficking: Three Suspects on the Run After a Boat Theft in Morne

Three individuals are currently being sought by the police following the theft of a speedboat that occurred in Morne last week. They are believed to be accomplices of two suspects already apprehended in connection with this case.

The arrested suspects, aged 34 and 36 and residing in Bel Ombre and Pointe aux Sables respectively, are suspected of collaborating with three other individuals to organize a maritime journey linked to a drug transaction between Mauritius and Réunion.

At the time of the police intervention, the three alleged accomplices reportedly fled aboard the speedboat. The vessel was later found abandoned off the coast of Rivière Noire.

The investigation is ongoing.
