VAT Invoicing: MRA Calls Businesses to Order

As tax audits increase and several irregularities such as the failure to charge Value Added Tax (VAT), issuing incomplete or incorrect invoices, and underreporting of sales have been observed in recent months, the Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA) is sounding the alarm.

The authority reminds that any business registered for the 15% VAT must charge this tax on all goods and services provided, emphasizing the importance of compliance to avoid penalties.
