Camp-Levieux: Seizure of Three Vehicles and Rs 608,000
In a significant operation conducted by the Anti-Drug and Smuggling Unit (ADSU) of the Western Division on Friday, January 30, authorities seized Rs 608,600 in cash and five vehicles valued at approximately Rs 3 million in Camp-Levieux, Rose-Hill.
Among the seized vehicles are two BMWs, a Range Rover, and two compact cars. The operation also led to the arrest of a 53-year-old family man and his 27-year-old son, who are suspected of money laundering.
The son appeared before the Weekend Court on Saturday facing a provisional charge of money laundering. The father, who is unwell, has been admitted to PMOC hospital in Candos for treatment.
The investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the Anti-Drug and Smuggling Unit (ADSU).
