Ekitike Shines as Liverpool Claims Its First League Victory in 2026

Wirtz perfectly assisted Ekitike for the equalizer, before the German international sealed the victory with a cool finish. Ibrahima Konaté later capitalized on a mistake by Nick Pope in the third minute of stoppage time.

This victory ends a five-match winless streak for Liverpool, who move up to fifth place, while Newcastle drops to tenth after two consecutive defeats.
