Concerns Regarding the Kreol News: Symbolic Protest in Front of MBC Headquarters
The Green Reparations Foundation organized a symbolic protest in front of the Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) headquarters in Moka on Sunday, February 1st.
Danielle Police-Michel and Dr. Didier Michel, the organization's vice-president and secretary respectively, expressed their dissatisfaction with the quality of the Kreol news broadcast by the national channel. They argue that this news segment does not meet the required standards.
A letter outlining their grievances was presented to Alain Gordon-Gentil, the director-general of MBC, who came to meet with the protesters. He stated that he would review the Green Reparations Foundation's complaints before deciding on the next steps to take.
