Pamplemousses: A Policeman Struck by a Car During a Religious Escort

A policeman was seriously injured in a road accident yesterday, Saturday, February 1st, on the Royal Road in Pamplemousses.

The incident occurred while the officer was on duty and was escorting a religious procession from the Mon-Goût Kovil.

According to initial reports, a green Suzuki Swift traveling towards Pamplemousses from Mon-Goût failed to comply with the repeated signals from the policeman directing traffic.
