At the Heart of the News - Electoral Reform: What Are the Next Steps?

The electoral reform will be the focal point of discussions in the show "At the Heart of the News" this Monday afternoon, February 2nd. Following the conclusion of the call for proposals issued by the Prime Minister's Office on January 31, the debate will center on the upcoming steps in the process, the direction the reform should take, and more broadly, the electoral model envisioned for Mauritius.

Joining Patrick Hilbert on the panel will be Futloo Zapheer, Secretary General of the New Democrats and a partner in the governing alliance, as well as Ryad Subratty, Secretary General of the Reform Party.

Also participating will be Michael Atchia, President of Democracy Watch, Covilen Narsinghen, President of Mauritius Global Diaspora, Babita Thannoo, a member of Rezistans ek Alternativ, political analyst Aavinash Munohur, and Nita Deerpalsing, former Labour Party MP.
