Road Code: Over 1,600 Offenses Recorded During the Weekend

Over 1,600 traffic violations were recorded for various infractions of the Road Code during the past weekend. In the last 24 hours, 11 drivers were caught driving under the influence of alcohol.

Additionally, four cases of driving under the influence of drugs were reported, and 78 drivers were fined for speeding.

DASP Suhail Lidialam, head of the Police Press Office, reminds that the points-based license system came into effect last Saturday. He emphasizes that police presence on the roads will be increased.
