Grok Algorithm: X's French Offices Raided, Elon Musk Summoned for Hearing

The offices of social network X were raided in Paris on Tuesday as part of an investigation launched in January 2025, announced the Paris prosecutor's office. Elon Musk is summoned for a "free hearing" on April 20.

This announcement was made this morning. The offices of social network X were searched on February 3, the Paris prosecutor's office stated, adding that Elon Musk, owner of the platform since its acquisition in 2022, is also being summoned.

The operation was "carried out at the French offices of X by the cybercrime unit of the Paris prosecutor's office" with a specialized unit from the national gendarmerie and Europol, the European criminal police agency, as specified in a brief message posted on X.

No immediate comment could be obtained from the network owned by Elon Musk.

"At the same time, summonses for free hearings on April 20, 2026, in Paris have been sent to Mr. Elon Musk and Ms. Linda Yaccarino, in their capacity as de facto and de jure managers of platform X at the time of the events," the prosecutor's office said in a statement.
