N’Golo Kanté Finally Returns to Europe!

N’Golo Kanté can finally breathe easy. As he had hoped, the World Cup champion is leaving Saudi Arabia to return to Europe. After two and a half seasons with Al-Ittihad, the former Caen player will finish the season with Fenerbahçe, where he has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract.

"Some stories take time, but they never really end. Welcome to Fenerbahçe, N’Golo Kanté," announced the Istanbul club on social media, referencing the various twists and turns that marked the day on Tuesday.

While his transfer seemed to be confirmed in time on Monday, the last day of the transfer window, Fenerbahçe had announced late in the morning that the transfer had failed, placing the responsibility on Al-Ittihad.
