Employment Relations Tribunal vs Health Ministry: Continuous Shifts Condemned, Yet No Action Taken

Specialist doctors continue to work under pressure as the Health Ministry has not responded to the verdict from the Employment Relations Tribunal (ERT) issued on January 15. The Government Medical and Dental Officers Association (GMDOA), which disputes the 24/7 presence system imposed since August 2022, is still awaiting an official meeting to discuss possible solutions. According to the tribunal, the Ministry's decision to enforce continuous presence is unjustified.
