Chikungunya: Two New Confirmed Cases, Several Risk Areas
During this rainy season, the risk of chikungunya spread remains high. Health services confirmed on Wednesday, February 4, two new local cases, bringing the total to 28 since the outbreak began on March 15, 2025.
These new infections involve a 37-year-old man from Résidence La Cure and a 63-year-old woman from Roches-Brunes. Both have been hospitalized and are receiving care. Among the total of 28 cases, six (three men and three women) have been hospitalized due to severe symptoms.
