Weak Regional Trade: CEOI Launches Plan to Reverse the Trend

Trade exchanges among the islands in the southwestern Indian Ocean remain low, despite the region's largely underutilized economic potential. Currently, regional operations account for only 4 to 6% of external trade, both in imports and exports. This concerning situation has prompted the Indian Ocean Entrepreneurs' Hub (CEOI) – an association comprising over 1000 members from Mauritius, Madagascar, Réunion, and Mayotte – to develop a strategic plan to address these challenges.
