Weather Forecast: Showers with Thunderstorms Expected This Friday

A warm, humid air current is flowing through our region. The weather will be partly cloudy this morning, occasionally becoming overcast in the north, east, and in the elevated areas, with occasional showers.

Cloud developments are expected from midday in the southern half of the island and on the central plateau, with localized showers. These showers may be temporarily moderate, accompanied by isolated thunderstorms, before spreading to other areas in the afternoon. Pockets of fog are also anticipated in certain regions.

The maximum temperature will be slightly above average, ranging from 26 to 28 degrees Celsius on the central plateau and from 30 to 33 degrees Celsius in coastal areas.

Localized showers will persist early in the evening, especially on the central plateau.

The sky will then clear up. However, other clouds coming from the east could bring showers late at night, mainly in the north, east, and on the central plateau.

The minimum temperature will range from 20 to 22 degrees Celsius on the central plateau and from 24 to 26 degrees Celsius along the coast.

The wind will blow from the north at around 15 km/h, becoming variable at times.

The sea will be rough beyond the reefs, with swells coming from the southwest measuring about 2 meters.

In case of thunderstorms, the public is advised to stay sheltered, avoid plains, hiking, and sea outings, and not to seek shelter under trees.
