Chemin-Grenier: 11-Year-Old Student Accuses Teacher of Assault
An 11-year-old student filed a complaint for assault at the Chemin-Grenier police station on the afternoon of Tuesday, February 3. The minor was accompanied by his mother. The accusation involves a teacher from his school.
According to the statement, the first incident occurred on Monday afternoon after support classes. The boy was in the school's stairwell with a classmate when the teacher intervened, claiming they were being noisy. He allegedly reprimanded the student and slapped him. The child reportedly did not say anything.
The next day, shortly after lunchtime recess, another incident took place. The complainant was heading to his classroom when a classmate informed him that the teacher was looking for him. While he was talking with his friend, the teacher allegedly intervened, grabbed him by the hair, and led him to a classroom.
The student reportedly was then struck multiple times on the hands with a plastic ruler and then with a wooden ruler on his left thigh and head. On February 4, the student was taken to the hospital, where he received treatment before returning home. The police have launched an investigation.
