Online Scam: A Seller Loses Over Rs 130,000

A 25-year-old woman from Quatre-Bornes, who works as a saleswoman, filed a complaint yesterday, February 5, after falling victim to a scam involving a supposed cryptocurrency investment. According to her statement, she was contacted on January 30 via TikTok by a profile promising quick earnings after an initial deposit of Rs 7,000. Convinced, she made her first transfer and then created an account on a cryptocurrency platform. Further details of the scam are under investigation.
