Minister of Commerce, Michaël Sik Yuen, has reassured the public regarding the supply of diesel and gasoline. In a statement to Radio Plus on the afternoon of March 9, he announced that a ship left Oman at 6 PM and is expected to arrive in Port Louis around March 17. According to the minister, the situation for gasoline and diesel is stable. "The gas is already at sea and should arrive on March 12," Michaël Sik Yuen also mentioned. However, concerning fuel oil, no shipment has been confirmed at this time. The minister noted that a Plan B has been activated. A new tender will be launched on Monday for the chartering of a ship, with a closure expected in 48 hours.
