Title: Fuels: Several Shipments Expected

Content: A reassuring signal on the fuel front. Several shipments are expected to arrive in Mauritius in the coming days, amid international tensions in the Middle East.

According to our sources, the ship Elandra Willow, coming from Sohar, Oman, is set to deliver nearly 39,000 tons of "white oil," which includes gasoline, diesel, and Jet A1 fuel intended primarily for transportation and aviation.

Meanwhile, the Clipper Posh is scheduled to transport 9,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), which is widely used by households and some private sector activities. Regarding heavy fuel oil, used notably by the Central Electricity Board (CEB) for electricity production, the shipment initially planned from Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates had to be rearranged.

Port activities are currently halted due to the conflict in the region, and a contingency plan has been activated, with supplies now expected from Singapore.

For reference, CEB Director Shamshir Mukoon mentioned last Monday during an interview on Radio Plus that the current stocks of heavy oil should ensure electricity production until April 10 and April 15, respectively.
