Resumption of Work at the National Assembly: The War in the Middle East at the Heart of the PNQ

Work resumes at the National Assembly this Tuesday. A session marked by the absence of Deputy Prime Minister Paul Bérenger from the chamber, amidst speculation of his resignation from the MMM leadership in the government.

The Private Notice Question from opposition leader Joe Lesjongard will focus on the war in the Middle East. This PNQ will be directed to Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam.

Joe Lesjongard wants to know if the government has assessed the impact of this conflict on the Mauritian economy, particularly in the areas of energy, food security, and social stability.

He will also inquire whether a committee has been established within the Prime Minister's Office to monitor the situation, ensure inter-ministerial coordination, and, if necessary, implement contingency measures. If so, he would like to know its composition.

You can follow this PNQ live on RadioPlus, on our Facebook page, as well as on the TéléPlus channel on YouTube starting at 11:20 AM.
