Suspicions of Illicit Enrichment: A Curepipe Resident Arrested by the FCC
On Wednesday, the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) traced a resident of Les Casernes, Curepipe, suspected of being involved in money laundering linked to illegal activities.
Jean Linley Louis, a resident of Les Casernes, Curepipe, raised suspicions due to signs of external wealth, including the acquisition of vehicles and real estate.
During a raid at his home, FCC investigators seized two cars.
He was placed under arrest and is being held at Moka Detention Centre, facing a provisional charge of money laundering before the Curepipe court.
