Jossica and Jean Donuito Gai: Love Stronger Than Age

On August 29, 2025, Jossica Nobin, 43, married Jean Donuito Gai, 28, in Bois-des-Amourettes. Their story is both intriguing and touching. Jean fell in love with Jossica when he was just 18. Their love blossomed over time. "For us, age has never been an issue," Jossica Gai shares.

Before meeting Jean, Jossica led a courageous life filled with responsibilities. She had spent thirteen years in a relationship with her daughter's father, Wensy, who is now 20. "After that separation, I didn’t really know what happiness was anymore, but I wanted to move forward for my daughter," she confides. At that stage in her life, her main goal was to rebuild stability.

"My priority was my daughter and our future," she states. She decided to buy a house in Bois-des-Amourettes where she and Wensy could start a new chapter. "This house was my project, my refuge," she explains. At that time, Jossica worked as a fisherwoman, a demanding job that she pursued with passion. "Fishing is tough work, but it taught me discipline and perseverance."

Later, she also worked at a call center, but the sea remained significant to her life. "Even after a long day, I could feel the sea re-energizing me," she recalls. Her daughter Wensy remembers her mother as a determined figure. "My mom has always been strong; she taught me the value of hard work," she says.

First Glance

In 2016, Jossica's life took an unexpected turn. That year, Jean Donuito, then 18, accompanied a friend to Bois-des-Amourettes. He saw Jossica for the first time. "When I saw her, my heart started racing," he recounts. He felt an immediate connection. "I told myself she was the woman of my life," he adds. Even though he knew she was older, her gaze captivated him. Despite his youth, he approached her.

"It wasn’t easy because I was young and a bit shy." He asked for her phone number, and Jossica, unaware of his feelings, thought he just wanted to chat. She agreed to give him her number.

A Bond Forms

After their first meeting, they began to talk. Initially, their conversations were light and casual, but they quickly became regular. "We talked every day." Their calls grew longer and more frequent.

"Sometimes we spent hours on the phone talking about everything." Jean recalls this time as significant. "I wanted her to get to know me." He shared about his life, work, and dreams.

Gradually, feelings became evident. "I told her I had fallen in love with her." Jossica admits she was surprised by his honesty. "He spoke with maturity." Through their conversations, she realized she was falling for him too.

"Without realizing it, I had become attached to him." Trust and communication strengthened their relationship. "We shared everything, our dreams and concerns."

Living Together

A year after they met, they decided to live together. At that point, Jean was 19 and Jossica was 34. The age difference quickly drew comments from others. People talked a lot, but the couple remained focused on their relationship.

"We knew what we felt, and our families understood our relationship was genuine." Her daughter Wensy observed this new bond. "At first, I didn’t know what to think."

But she soon realized Jean was sincere. "I saw that he truly loved my mother."

Family Expands

A few years later, their love grew with the birth of their son, Terrence Elvito Gai, who is now 7. Their family home became the center of their lives. "Our son brought us a lot of joy," Jossica explains.

The couple also shares a mutual passion for fishing. "In the mornings, we wake up early," Jossica shares. After dropping their son off at school, they head out to sea. "These moments are precious."

Their family enjoys a simple but fulfilling daily life. "We do everything together." After work, they manage the house and spend time with their children. "Our bond is natural," Jean says.

Despite their happiness, the age difference still attracts comments. Some believe Jean is with Jossica for material reasons. "Sometimes people think he’s with me for my money."

But she pays no mind to such views. "I know that’s not true."

Marriage

After several years together, they married on August 29, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. "That day, I was very happy," Jossica recalls.

Jean shares the same feeling. "Marrying the woman I love was a very important moment for me." Their son Terrence was also part of this special day. "He was very happy."

Today, the couple's life is filled with simple gestures. They cook, work, and spend time with family. Jean enjoys surprising his wife with little notes. "Sometimes I leave her a little message." These gestures strengthen their bond.

They continue to build their life in Bois-des-Amourettes with their children. "The most important thing is to be happy," concludes Jossica. "Every day with her is a gift," adds Jean.
