Accident in Pailles: Violent Collision Between Two Cars, An American and a German Seriously Injured
A serious road accident occurred late on Wednesday evening, March 25, on the link road leading to Pailles. Two cars collided at the underpass. The report indicates four injuries, including three foreign nationals: an American, a Canadian, and a German.
According to initial indications, the 24-year-old American was driving. He had a Canadian and a German as passengers. The American driver had to undergo emergency surgery at Dr. Jeetoo Hospital, while the German national was admitted to the care unit at Victoria Hospital (PMOC). Their condition is considered serious.
A third passenger, a Canadian national, was also taken to the hospital for treatment, but her condition is more stable.
The driver of the other car, a young 22-year-old entrepreneur, sustained lighter injuries. After the accident, he was subjected to a breathalyzer test, which returned negative. However, a blood test was conducted on the American driver by SAMU staff to determine his condition at the time of impact.
The force of the collision caused significant damage to both vehicles. The Coromandel firefighters had to intervene to clear debris from the roadway. The Pailles police have opened an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of this collision.
