Bassin Blanc: 154 Cannabis Plants Worth Rs 770,000 Uprooted

On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, 154 cannabis plants were uprooted during an operation conducted by the Emergency Response Service (ERS) on Bassin Blanc Road.

Using a police drone, officers located a cannabis crop planted in rows on an abandoned lot. Surveillance was established, but no cultivator appeared on the scene.

The height of the plants varied between 50 cm and 150 cm. The estimated value of the seizure is Rs 770,000.
