Arrested by the FCC: Muzaffar Lallmamode Caught in the Purchase of a Ford Mustang

Muzaffar Lallmamode, 32, was arrested on Thursday by the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) and taken into custody. He is suspected of money laundering, particularly in connection with the purchase of a Ford Mustang valued at Rs 3.4 million.

Known as "Muzz," Lallmamode was apprehended by the FCC on Thursday afternoon. He had been under investigation by the Réduit Triangle authorities since the beginning of the week, but it wasn't until Thursday that he was located and arrested.

Following his interrogation, he was detained at the Moka center. The FCC suspects him of money laundering and possession of assets, including vehicles, that may have been financed by proceeds from criminal activities. One of the cars at the center of the investigation is a Ford Mustang, which is currently seized at Réduit Triangle.

The FCC is trying to trace the source of Rs 3.4 million used for the acquisition of this vehicle through a company. As part of this investigation, the director of a car rental agency linked to the purchase has also been questioned again. After providing his explanations, he was released on bail and is scheduled to appear in court this Friday.

On the same Thursday, a search was conducted at the home of a relative of Muzaffar Lallmamode in Vallée-des-Prêtres. Rs 90,000, a mobile phone, and a computer were seized. These devices will undergo forensic analysis.

Muzaffar Lallmamode is already known to the authorities. In September 2025, he was questioned by the FCC in a money laundering case. During an operation on August 21, he was found in possession of Rs 390,650 and 16,600 US dollars (approximately Rs 764,000), as well as another Ford Mustang, which was also seized.

A few months later, in December 2025, he was involved in another case. He was suspected of threatening an associate to obtain Rs 30 million. Arrested in mid-March, he denied these accusations.
