Notre-Dame: Three Workers Electrocuted on a Construction Site

Three workers, a Mauritian, a Bangladeshi, and a Malagasy, were electrocuted on Thursday, March 26, at a construction site in Notre-Dame, Montagne-Longue. The accident occurred while they were unloading wood from a container using a crane truck. At one point, the crane's arm accidentally made contact with a high-voltage power line, resulting in an electric shock that affected all three men. Two of the injured were admitted to the burn unit at Victoria Hospital, while the third is being treated at the Male Burns Unit. An investigation has been launched to clarify the circumstances surrounding this workplace accident.
