Fire at Victoria Urban Terminal: Examination of Compensation for Affected Traders

Technical reports are awaited to determine the causes of the fire that devastated the Victoria Urban Terminal in Port-Louis last Saturday, stated the Lord Mayor, Aslam Hosenally. He added that the Minister of Social Security, Ashok Subron, and he are in discussions regarding the potential distribution of emergency aid to the traders whose stalls were destroyed by the flames.

Aslam Hosenally was responding to journalists' questions following his participation in a wreath-laying ceremony honoring the victims of the March 30, 2013 floods. More details are available in the attached video.
