Governance: Integrity and Resilience at the Heart of a Workshop
The Défi Training School, in collaboration with the Chartered Governance Institute (CGI) Mauritius, is hosting a training session titled "Governance with Grit: Leading Through Ethical Compliance" this Friday, April 3rd, at the Ravenala Attitude hotel. This session will be conducted by Erika Eliasson-Norris, CEO of Beyond Governance and author of "The Secret Diary of a Company Secretary."
This six-hour training is primarily aimed at company secretaries, governance officers, and professionals who support boards of directors and management teams. The goal is to go beyond mere regulatory compliance and approach governance as a true leadership lever, based on professional courage, perseverance, and the ability to act with integrity, even under pressure.
At the core of the program is the concept of "grit," which refers to persistence, courage, and resilience. These qualities are presented as essential for governance professionals to exert real influence within decision-making bodies.
Through this initiative, the Défi Training School aims to provide a deep reflection on the strategic role of governance professionals in an increasingly complex environment. This training responds to current governance challenges and aspires to equip participants with the tools and mindset needed to fulfill their roles with clarity, courage, and responsibility.
