MMM: Paul Bérenger, Joanna Bérenger, and Chetan Baboolall to Serve as Independent Backbenchers in Parliament

Paul Bérenger, Joanna Bérenger, and Chetan Baboolall will serve as "independent backbenchers" in Parliament. This was announced by the leader of the MMM during a press conference this Saturday.

Paul Bérenger reiterated that he has no intention of taking on the role of opposition leader.

Additionally, he mentioned that Joanna Bérenger, Chetan Baboolall, and he will not be attending the upcoming MMM delegate assembly scheduled for next Saturday. This assembly will be held with the group of 15 MMM elected officials who have chosen to remain within the government.

The leader of the MMM clarified, however, that he remains at the helm of the party.
