Energy Crisis: Nepal Implements Five-Day Work Week for Public Sector

On Sunday, April 5th, the Nepalese government announced a reduction of the public sector work week from six to five days in order to conserve fuel reserves affected by the Middle Eastern war, according to AFP.

"In light of the difficulties in obtaining oil, public administration and schools will now be closed two days a week," said government spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel following the Council meeting.
