Creative Young Entrepreneur 2026: A New Opportunity for Young Entrepreneurs

Applications for the Creative Young Entrepreneur (CYE) 2026 program by the Junior Chamber International (JCI) of Mauritius opened on April 2nd. This initiative aims to highlight innovative young entrepreneurs and strengthen the local entrepreneurial ecosystem through support, visibility, and networking opportunities. Applications are open until May 8, 2026.

The Creative Young Entrepreneur 2026 program has officially launched. Sponsored by JCI Mauritius in collaboration with JCI QuatreBornes, this competition has become a key event for young project holders and business leaders in Mauritius and Rodrigues.

Under the theme "Where Vision Becomes Reality", this edition emphasizes the entrepreneurs' ability to transform an idea into a concrete project and then into a viable business. The program is aimed at entrepreneurs aged 18 to 40, whether they are starting a new business or revitalizing an existing structure.

The objective is clear: to identify profiles capable of proposing innovative solutions, whether through products, services, or differentiated market approaches. Participants will have the opportunity to present their projects, expand their professional networks, and gain visibility among a broader audience, including potential investors, partners, and media.

Participation criteria remain stringent. Candidates must lead an active business for at least three months, be officially registered, and submit a solid business plan supported by realistic financial data. Proficiency in English is also required, as presentations and training will be conducted in this language. Availability throughout the selection process is essential.

In return, the offered benefits are numerous. Participants will receive personalized support, including training and strategic advice to structure and grow their business. Media visibility is also a significant leverage, allowing entrepreneurs to enhance their brand image.

The winner of this 2026 edition will have the opportunity to represent Mauritius at the JCI Africa and Middle East conference in 2027, an international showcase likely to open new collaboration and investment opportunities.

The program also provides a strategic reflection space for entrepreneurs, encouraging them to revisit their business model and define a sustainable growth trajectory. In a context marked by digital transformation and global economic challenges, this dimension appears particularly relevant.
