Learning Mandarin: Seventeen Chinese Teachers Strengthen Primary Schools

Mauritius is enhancing Mandarin learning from primary level. Seventeen Chinese teachers, currently on a mission in the country, met with the Minister of Education and Human Resources, Mahend Gungapersad, on Monday, April 6, as part of their deployment in several schools.

Having been in Mauritius for about a month, these young volunteers are here to teach Modern Chinese in primary schools, thereby helping to address the shortage of teaching staff in this subject.
