Murder Suspicions at La Brasserie: Richard Bryan Alifoykooye Found Dead, Partner Arrested in Rodrigues After Leaving the Country This Morning

Murder suspicions arose in La Brasserie, Curepipe, on Saturday following the discovery of the body of 35-year-old Jean Richard Bryan Alifoykooye at his home.

His partner, Laura Beatrice Travady, suspected of being the perpetrator, was apprehended by the DCIU in Rodrigues, under the supervision of Inspector Félicité, after leaving Mauritius that Saturday morning.

Deeply affected, Steven, the victim's brother, shares that when he arrived, he found him in a pool of blood. "The last time I saw him was last Sunday. It was my sister who told me that she hadn’t seen him for three days. When she went to his house, she was the one who made the discovery."

Steven mentions that the deceased's partner, with whom he lived, is suspected of being the murderer. He explains that his brother and his partner lived peacefully and would sometimes argue, but he never imagined it would end like this.

Allan, a friend and neighbor of the deceased, says he has known him since childhood. He notes that he was a very good football player in La Brasserie and helped secure numerous tournament wins for the local team by scoring many goals.

"It’s hard to accept such news today. We couldn’t believe it when we were informed of his death."

The police investigation is ongoing to clarify the exact circumstances of this tragedy.
