Chikungunya: A Concerning Outbreak This April

The health situation regarding chikungunya is raising significant concern across the country this April. According to Dr. Fazil Khodabocus, the interim director of health services, at least 45 new cases were recorded on Thursday, April 9th. From the beginning of the year until April 10th, the country has reported a total of 1,112 confirmed cases, a figure that alarms health authorities.

Currently, around 150 active cases are documented throughout the island, though this number is subject to change.
