Parliament: Proposal to Introduce Kreol Morisien in the Assembly to be Submitted to the Cabinet in Three Months

The proposal to introduce Kreol Morisien in the National Assembly will be presented to the Cabinet in about three months. In the meantime, a Select Committee will be established. This announcement was made by Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam on Tuesday during the PMQT, in response to a question from opposition MP Joanna Bérenger. The Prime Minister clarified that a document was submitted to him on March 12 by the Speaker, Shirin Aumeeruddy-Cziffra. However, he emphasized that certain obstacles, particularly legal and institutional ones, still need to be addressed.
