At the Heart of the News - Surge in Fuel Prices: How Far Will the Crisis Go?

In this afternoon's episode of At the Heart of the News: a new shock for consumers. Since midnight, gasoline and diesel prices have risen by approximately 10%, amid a now-deficit Price Stabilisation Account.

And this may just be the beginning. Transportation, essential goods, businesses... the entire economy is under strain. Consumers are worried and are expecting strong measures.

How far will this spiral go? What responses can we expect from the government?

Prem Sewpaul will engage in a live phone interview with the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Protection, Michaël Sik Yuen.
