Since November 2024, the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) has seized 608 vehicles, valued at 444.4 million rupees. These figures were disclosed by the Prime Minister in a written response to the National Assembly, addressing a question from MP Farhad Aumeer.

According to information obtained from the FCC, 25 individuals suspected of being involved in money laundering operations related to drug trafficking have been arrested.

Since November 2024, the FCC has intensified its efforts against money laundering associated with drug trafficking. Operations have surged on the ground, with over 600 vehicles already confiscated across the country.

In detail, this includes 8 trucks, 467 cars, 76 motorcycles, as well as 3 ATVs, 5 bobcats, and 49 yachts, all suspected to have been acquired through illicit funds.

Additionally, the police commissioner noted that 26 more vehicles have also been seized in separate investigations: 15 cars, 3 vans, 6 motorcycles, one scooter, and a pleasure craft, currently under evaluation.

The authorities aim to hit criminal networks where it hurts: in their wallets.
