"The country needs a full-time government as well as a full-time opposition," stated Ajay Gunness on Saturday, April 18. The Minister of National Infrastructure was responding to questions from the press regarding an interview he gave to a newspaper, asserting that "the country does not need a 'part-time' opposition." This remark followed his participation in the 2026 Annual General Assembly of the Association of Contractors, held this morning in Bagatelle.

"I made this very clear. On Tuesday, during parliamentary proceedings, the former leader of the MMM (Note: Paul Bérenger) remained until lunchtime. He left afterward. His daughter, Joanna, and Deputy Chetan Baboolall stayed in the chamber until the question session reserved for ministers.
