MMM: The Expelled Members Consider Legal Action
The 14 dismissed members of the MMM are firmly contesting this decision and are now considering legal recourse. This dismissal, confirmed by the central committee last Saturday, has caused confusion and frustration among those affected. They claim they were not informed beforehand and were not given the opportunity to present their side of the story before the measure was enacted.
According to them, this lack of dialogue raises questions about adherence to the party's internal procedures. They believe their rights have not been fully respected, which paves the way for a legal challenge against the decision. The legal aspect of this dismissal was actually the focus of discussions during a meeting held yesterday.
This meeting was attended by Paul Bérenger, Joanna Bérenger, and Chetan Baboolall. The discussions primarily revolved around the validity of the central committee's decision, as well as the legal options that the dismissed members could consider.
In this context, the 14 dismissed members intend to take the necessary time to analyze the situation and define a clear strategy. They are expected to publicly disclose their position in the coming days.
